Using our website

Terms & conditions.

The practical terms for exploring our artists, booking a consultation, and preparing for your visit.

Effective and last updated:

1. About these terms

These terms apply to studio84.ink, operated by Studio 84 at 524 W National Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53204. Please read them before using our booking, upload, or consent tools. You must check the agreement box before booking a consultation. We record the terms version and the time your accepted booking is saved. By using the website tools, you agree to use them in accordance with these terms.

The website lets you explore artists’ work, arrange a consultation, and complete a tattoo consent form. Any separate terms for a tattoo appointment, design work, or payment must be discussed and agreed with your artist before you commit. These website terms do not replace your informed consent to a tattoo procedure.

2. Consultation bookings

Online bookings are for a free, 30-minute consultation with your selected artist at the studio. A consultation is time to discuss an idea; it does not reserve a tattoo session, require you to purchase a tattoo, or guarantee that an artist will accept a project.

The calendar shows each artist’s available times. All appointment times are in Milwaukee’s Central Time, including seasonal daylight-saving changes. Selecting a time alone does not reserve it: your booking is confirmed when the website displays a successful confirmation.

Provide accurate contact details and save the private booking link shown on your confirmation. Anyone with that link can view appointment basics, cancel the consultation, and add reference photos. Customers do not need an account.

Automated customer email confirmations and appointment texts are not currently active. Save your confirmation and use the calendar download to keep track of your visit. If texting becomes available, the booking form will describe the optional messaging terms before you opt in; text consent is not required to book.

3. Cancellations and changes

Before your consultation starts, use your private booking link to cancel if you cannot attend. Once its start time has passed, contact the studio for help. To reschedule, cancel the original appointment first, then make a new booking. A replacement time is reserved only when the new booking is confirmed, and the time you want may no longer be available.

Please cancel as soon as you know you cannot attend so another person can use the time. If you lose your booking link or need help, speak with your artist or the studio. If we need to change or cancel your consultation, we will try to reach you using the contact details you provided.

These terms do not set a deposit, refund, late-cancellation, or no-show policy for tattoo appointments. Ask your artist for any applicable terms before agreeing to paid work. Canceling a consultation does not automatically erase the booking record; see our privacy policy.

4. Tattoo appointments and consent

You must be at least 18 to receive a tattoo at Studio 84. Bring valid photo identification so your artist can verify your identity and age. See Milwaukee’s tattoo guidance for local requirements.

Complete the tattoo consent form in the studio on the day of your procedure, choose the correct artist, and answer accurately. Typing your name and submitting that form records the electronic signature described on the form. Your artist must review the information with you before proceeding. Submitting the form does not book an appointment or mean a procedure has been approved.

Discuss questions, relevant health concerns, the design, placement, and aftercare with your artist before the procedure. Your artist may need to decline or postpone a procedure for safety or legal reasons. Website content and portfolio photos cannot assess whether a procedure is suitable for you or promise a particular result.

5. Pricing and payments

Consultations booked through this website are currently free. The site does not currently collect payment-card details or process online purchases.

Discuss tattoo pricing, design fees, any deposit, payment arrangements, and cancellation or refund terms directly with your artist before agreeing to paid work. A portfolio image or consultation confirmation is not a price quote or purchase agreement. Any future online checkout will need to display the applicable price and purchase terms before payment.

6. Your information and uploads

Submit information for your own appointment, or only with the relevant person’s authorization. Tattoo consent must be reviewed and signed by the adult receiving the tattoo. You are responsible for the accuracy of your submissions and for having permission or another lawful basis to share any images or other material you upload. Do not submit unlawful material, someone else’s private information without authorization, or files intended to harm the website.

You keep any rights you hold in your submissions. By uploading material, you give Studio 84, your selected artist, and our service providers limited permission to store, copy, resize, and review it as needed to handle your consultation and maintain the related record. This does not transfer ownership or authorize us to publish your reference uploads in a portfolio or advertisement.

Reference images help explain your ideas. Sending an image does not give you or the artist ownership of someone else’s artwork or a right to reproduce it. Keep your own copies of uploaded files; the website is not a personal backup service.

7. Artwork and website content

Artwork, photographs, names, and other website content belong to their respective artists or rights holders. Viewing a portfolio does not transfer copyright or grant a license to reproduce, sell, or commercially use its contents. Obtain permission from the appropriate rights holder unless the use is otherwise allowed by law.

You may link to public pages. Nothing in these terms restricts lawful fair use, honest reviews, or reporting a concern to a regulator.

8. Responsible use

Use the website lawfully and respectfully. Do not impersonate another person, submit spam or deliberately false bookings, reserve times you do not intend to use, interfere with the website, bypass security controls, or try to access another person’s private records.

Staff tools are restricted to approved accounts. Staff must use their own authorized access and protect it from use by others. We may restrict access or reject submissions when reasonably necessary to address misuse or protect the service. Such action does not remove any rights you have under applicable law.

9. Privacy and outside services

Our privacy policy explains the information we collect, who can access it, how we retain it, and how to make a privacy request. Booking reference photos and tattoo consent records are handled separately from public portfolios. Submitting a form does not sign you up for marketing.

Links to Instagram and other outside websites are provided for convenience. Those services have their own terms and privacy practices, and we do not control their availability or content.

10. Availability and your rights

We aim to keep the website and scheduling information accurate, but errors, maintenance, and interruptions can occur. We cannot promise uninterrupted or error-free access. If a confirmation is unclear or something appears incorrect, check with the studio before relying on it.

Nothing in these terms excludes responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded, limits mandatory consumer protections, or releases anyone from liability for a tattoo procedure. These terms do not require you to give up the right to bring a legal claim or agree to mandatory arbitration.

11. Updates and applicable law

We may update these terms as the website or our services change. The revised version and effective date will appear here. Changes apply prospectively and do not retroactively alter a confirmed booking or separately agreed payment terms. Where required, we will provide additional notice or request agreement.

These terms are governed by applicable Wisconsin and United States law, without taking away mandatory protections that apply to you. If a provision cannot be enforced, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
